"Granny's Dragon" should be excellent fodder for bedtime story choice, being a whimsical tale with equally enchanting pictures. I like the progression of the tale and its plans for combatting the monster, as well as the inside joke of bedtime rituals.

Adorable and something else of which McCourt should be proud/5(4). Her granddaughter was not convinced so Granny said she would call her nice dragon to protect her during the night. Rating: 4 stars The book was really cute and I loved to illustrations.

I also really loved that Granny helped the girl overcome her fear and explained to her why she sh This book is about a girl being afraid that a monster will eat /5. Granny even makes sure that the dragon's teeth are brushed. The matter-of-fact, mostly dialogue-based text has the air of the real conversations kids and caregivers have about bedtime monsters, and the cheery, green-eyed dragon is a nice touch.
